"Give the ACLU & New York Times Something to Work With..."

(Thanks Roger, I missed this...)

An Al Qeada Handbook instructs adherents how to make false claims of abuse and offenses against Islam if captured by Coalition forces.

In a raid on an al-Qaida cell in Manchester, British officials obtained al-Qaida`s most extensive manual for how to wage war, the Washington Times said Tuesday. A directive lists one mission as "spreading rumors and writing statements that instigate people against the enemy."
If captured, the manual states, "At the beginning of the trial ... the brothers must insist on proving that torture was inflicted on them by state security before the judge. Complain of mistreatment while in prison."

The American Civil Liberties Union is cooperating with the Terrorist's strategy handily. Last week they posted 2002 FBI documents regarding unfounded accusations from suspected al Qaeda and Taliban detainees at the detention center. The pro-terrorist organization had won a court decision that forced the administration to release scores of e-mails between agents who had interviewed captives.

Yet according to the Navy Inspector General, only three substantiated cases of minor abuse at Gitmo were found in over 24 thousand interrogations. Vice Adm. Albert T. Church III's report was released in March.

What's wrong with our journalists?

What's wrong with our Journalists? Pete Davis has some ideas worth perusing. As a former journalist I've been repeatedly disgusted at the way today's reporters slant their stories to promote their personal beliefs.

In his post, Pete wonders what difference, if any, we'd see in western journalism if the journalists were working for the terrorists in the war on terror.

Doctors demand Ban on Sharp Kitchen Knives

This is the stupidest most asinine thing I've ever read. If I was king of the world, I'd stick all these nutjobs into a makework bureaucracy, somewhere where they'd think they were doing something, but would actually be unable to mess with everybody else's lives. I found 694,000 references on the internet to the words "Safety Nazis" These people are a scourge.

We've blackly joked that the adherents to the religion of 'safeness' would not be happy with the various bans on firearms, mandatory seatbelts and lowered speed limits they've foisted on various western nations over the last 20 years.

"The day will come," I facetiously intoned after the Canadian Gun registry went into effect, "when they will try to ban baseball bats, knives, and matches..." In my naivete I never really thought anyone was so infected with the do-gooder virus that they'd actually try.

55 people in Scotland died last year from sharp kitchen knife wounds. That's enough to motivate Safety Nazis Dr Emma Hern and Dr. Mike Beckett to publish a demand in the British Medical Journal that all long sharp Kitchen knives be banned. Of course, the Chief Superintendant of Scottish Police superintendants endorsed the idea.

Can we find someplace safe to occupy those idiots?

Take the quiz

This was neat, in an internet sort of way. I found this quiz at Sondra K's. If you were a military aircraft, Which one would you be?

I'm going to Cold Lake soon to check out the heavy iron at Maple Flag.

The next picture (below) is the winner of the 2004 freedom tour caption contest, and was taken at last year's Maple Flag. Congrats to Leo Carpathian at the Free Republic.

Gourmet tip #42 Don't microwave cold toast. At least, don't microwave cold, freshly buttered flax-multigrain toast. Turns it into kevlar. Ol' Hamm almost lost a tooth...

Collect sample from Mid-Stream

COLLECT IN MID-STREAM
Reading/Watching MSM now gives me the same feeling I get from collecting a urine specimen. You don't want to get any of it on you. Chris Muir in Daybyday gets that same sense exactly. God help us if these lower standards spread to other professions.

I don't know why I was shocked to discover that Mid Stream Media like Newsweek, NY Times, and CBS have chosen to lower their standards of proof to the level of 'it could happen.' After Rathergate I can only conclude that Newsweek would run an unverified story simply because it was inflamatory and would make trouble for the Bush administration in the Middle east.

Somewhere, Somehow, in a journalism class in some college, there may still exist a naïve young person who actually believes the MSM is unbiased and objective. Although Newsweek retracted a story they admitted was made up, big media in the United States has adopted the conjecture and heresay standard of news verification that we haven't seen since the more extreme anti-war atrocity stories of the Vietnam War.

Even the Ottawa Press Corps didn't believe them!

A cynical and jaded Ottawa Press corps laughed in Paul Martin's face yesterday when the Prime Minister claimed Stronach's defection had nothing to do with the upcoming confidence vote. They interrupted him twice! Meanwhile the opposition conservatives report the Liberals have attempted to bribe at least one other Conservative MP with yet another Cabinet post, if he/she would change sides.

64% don't believe Stronach

Looks like the Majority of Canadians aren't buying Belinda Stronach's excuse for crossing the floor. 64% of over 13 thousand respondants to a CNEWS poll think she's a bloody opportunist.

To misquote Austin Powers, "I mean, Really, who believes the shrew?" Even John Laschinger, the man who, until yesterday, was her campaign manager didn't know it was coming, (heard his interview on the radio, can't find a link-sorry).

Canuck MSM Censors 6000 person March

Still think our media isn't biased? That's it's fair and objective? In Canada, if you can get 6,000 people to gather on Parliament's steps to protest it's front page news, and the lead story on TV.
But as far as the major media goes (Except for the Ottawa Sun) the event never happened. On May 12th the CBC had a news blackout. On May 12th the newspapers were too busy chasing ambulances. On May 12th Parliamentary correspondants couldn't be bothered to check out what the noise was outside, because it was just 6,000 people gathered to march against abortion and euthanasia.

A check on Google news shows only 7 news stories, one by the Ottawa Sun, and 6 by various pro-life or Catholic publications.

A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of
St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of
clocks behind him.
He asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on
Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on
your clock will move."

"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that one?"

"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved,
indicating that she never told a lie."

"Incredible," said the man, "and whose clock is that
one?"

St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock.
The hands have moved twice, telling us that old Abe
only told two lies in his entire life."

"Where's Paul Martin's or Jean Chrétien's clock?" asked
the man.

"They're in Jesus' office. He's using them as ceiling
fans."

I gotta change the subject. This is one of the coolest home movies I've ever seen.

A Red Tory defects

Goodbye and good riddance to another Red Tory.

Was the Stronach defection necessary? Belinda said today that she was concerned particularly with keeping the multi-billion dollar municipal infrastructure provisions of the liberal budget. Stronach also said she was uncomfortable with direction Conservative leader Stephen Harper has lately taken the party. What’s new? Harper has said the conservatives will honor the municipal infrastructure deal. Stronach can hardly complain that Harper repeatedly pledged to honor the various provincial bribes gift-horses trotted out over these past months by a frantic Paul Martin.

I can understand a politician crossing the floor because their party had changed in some way that violated his/her convictions. But Belinda’'s charge that Harper is taking the CPC in a new direction is bullshit. Paul Martin was quoted saying that “We both felt Belinda would be more comfortable serving the Liberals from within their caucus. (...as opposed to serving them from within the CPC?)” Paul Martin has been bribing the nation like mad these past few weeks. For Belinda, he’s coughed up the Human Resources Cabinet post.

For decades The Progressive Conservatives were dominated by their progressive or ‘Red Tory’ elements. Time and time again, through two and a quarter successive PC governments (two terms for Brian and two bits for Kim) ‘conservative’ Conservatives were disappointed by liberal-seeming tax and spend policies of the Red Tories at the helm. Indeed, there seemed to be little difference between the policies of the Liberal Party of Canada and the old Progressive Conservative Party. PC budget after PC budget saw increased taxation, deficit spending, and the introduction of tax code hostile to the family.
The conservative movement has always felt the tension between the so-called social conservatives and the fiscal conservatives. While social conservatives are pretty well always fiscal conservatives, many fiscal conservatives have been known to have pretty Liberal views about social issues. Preston Manning and Stockwell Day were socially and fiscally conservative. Joe Clark wasn’'t. This tension was somewhat relieved during the 1990’s with the development of the Reform party, whose many founding members believed the old Progressive Conservatives were too damn progressive, and not conservative enough.

During the amalgamation of the Progressive Conservatives and the Canadian Alliance/Reform parties last year, I personally was excited by the first opportunity in decades to form a conservative party that was truly conservative. Yet there was the sentiment from the left that it was imperative progressive-thinking conservatives not abandon the new Conservative Party of Canada. What bothered me most, were the blatant announcements in the Canadian MSM that the social conservatives should not be allowed to gain control of the CPC.

In the subsequent CPC leadership race, a telling clue into her politics was how quickly newcomer Belinda Stronach became a media darling and favorite of the CBC. Particular attention was paid to her liberal attitudes towards homosexual marriage, child care, and the family.

I'll say it again. Goodbye, and good riddance.

A liberal takes a Strong Stance

Ontario's Liberal Premier Dalton McGuinty has come out with a strong stance in the election controversy: He's gonna straddle the fence. What was his main concern? The Federal Liberals insistence in ignoring last week's non-confidence motion? New Revelations of Liberal misappropriation of funds? Paul Martin's continued cross country pre-electioneering at the tax-payer's expense? No.

CTV today reports that McGuinty, meeting today with Conservative Opposition leader Stephen Harper, was mostly concerned with keeping the $500 million dollar bribe Paul Martin promised his province earlier this month.

Harper said the Conservatives will honor Paul Martin's briberies, and McGuinty promised to be neutral in the election campaign.

Muslims say Apology not good enough.

Saudi Arabia and Egypt have both rejected Newsweek's weak-assed apology. Big fat surprise there. Ohhh boy, didn't see that one coming from a mile away. I expected better from the religion of peace and lov- ...oops sorry, my mistake, we're talking about Muslims.

According to ABC News, Newsweek did not even run their apology in their Arab language edition. If they really were sincere, that Apology would not only be in english, but Arabic too. But it wasn't. I get the impression that Newsweek's editor and writers are probably pleased with the results they got from that falsified news story. If their goal was to damage America's foreign relations, they succeeded.

Newsweek knew their sources had backed down on the toilet story. Newsweek knew the only case of someone putting the Koran in the toilet was when some MUSLIM inmates did it themselves in an attempt to plug the toilets during a protest. By running the story they knew was false, by printing an apology in english, but not in it's Arabic editions, Newsweek must have had a goal in mind. They didn't do it accidentaly.

What is it called when you deliberately harm your own nation's interests?

Liberal Bribery continues

The pre-election Liberal Campgain continues... News reports abound today of a new $99 MILLION dollar childcare bribe for Newfoundland & Labrador, and a $137 MILLION dollar bribe for the childcare industry in Nova Scotia.

Canada's MSM has dissapointed me deeply, by it's willingness to be co-opted by Mr. Martin's campgain program. I've read damn little criticism of his present attempt to propt up his dying government with this spending spree.

Is it a bribe or isn't it? Like the other announcments since the April 22nd budget rewrite by Socialist leader Jake Layton (his price for supporting the Paul Martin Liberals) these announcements are all contingent on Paul Martin's budget passing. -the vote, that is. This latest attempt to bribe the nation puts Nfld and Nova Scotia in 5th place and 3rd place behind Ontario and Quebec.

1) $534 Million - ONTARIO
2) $335 Million - QUEBEC
3) $137 Million - NOVA SCOTIA
4) $123 Million - P.E.I.
5) $99 Million - NEWFOUNDLAND/LABRADOR
6) $36 Million - MANITOBA
7) $3 Million - ALBERTA
8) $3 Million - NEW BRUNSWICK
9) $2.5 Million - SASKATCHEWAN
source: Globe & Mail/Western Standard

The weekend passed with Mr. Martin refusing to heed Opposition leader Stephen Harper's calls to step down, after losing a non-confidence motion last tuesday. The Liberals also failed to prevent Conservative/Bloc motions closing Parliament on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If your minority government doesn't have enough votes to control Parliament, it's called a what?

A defeat.

By refusing to disolve Parliament and calling an election last week, Paul Martin has placed Canada right up there with those bush-league African democracies like Zimbabwe.

Hopefully the voters can recognize Paul Martin's actions for what they are.

"People have died"

What should the consequences be, when innocent people die because an ideologically biased publisher prints false statements that get people killed? Newsweek today backed down from their May 9th story that U.S. soldiers at Guatanamo Bay flushed a Koran in a toilet to distress muslim prisoners. Anger at that news story prompted tens of thousands of Muslims world-wide to protest, sometimes violently. At least 15 people died, mostly in Afganistan. The story was written by Michael Isikoff, who reported the item with John Barry.

Now it turns out that Newsweek ran the story, even though their sources for the story had partially backed off on the toilet bit. Newsweek editor Mark Whitaker apologized for the story in this weeks Newsweek. "We regret that we got any part of our story wrong, and extend our sympathies to victims of the violence and to the U.S. soldiers caught in its midst," Whitaker wrote in the magazine's latest issue

You're a magazine editor or a writer, and you hate George Bush. Or you're a pacifist, and hate that your country is at war in Iraq. Or you're a writer with Democrat sympathies and like making the Republicans look bad. Or you're Joseph Goebbels and you know people will believe a big lie if you tell it often enough. It's not journalism.

I agree and support freedom of the press. But I've always assumed the members of the press were trying to honestly and cleanly present the facts. But in confusing what they wanted to believe with the truth, do Isikoff and Barry deserve to be called members of the press? And now people have died. So far all the deaths have been from citizens of the countries in the middle east. Would Newsweek have backed off if the deaths had been from coalition soldiers?

Pentagon spokesman Larry DiRita wasn't impressed. "People are dead because of what this son of a bitch said," DiRita told Newsweek, according to the magazine's report. "How could he be credible now?"

Maybe they should be paying damages? At the very very least, I'd like to see a big red friggin stamp on all copies of newsweek for the next four years: W A R N I N G : CONTENTS NOT GUARANTEED TO CONTAIN THE TRUTH

Are we resting comfortably? Then we'll begin...

Tonight I did my duty, and participated in the democratic process. Our Conservative Party of Canada constituency association held it's nomination meeting to choose a candidate to replace our terminally ill Member of Parliament, Dave Chatters. I must be getting older faster than I thought. My wife, eldest son and daughter and I drove almost an hour to get to the meeting. It wasn't until I was sitting through the candidate's speeches though, that I realized my footware wasn't quite appropriate.

Comfortable, though.

Hoist by their own Petard

It's a good day for irony.

I have little patience for extremists of any sort, and Greenpeace do-gooders are among my private peeves. So it was a pleasant surprise to read today that Greenpeace was found guilty by an Alaskan jury of two misdemeanor criminal negligence charges after the ship Artic Sunrise went way up north to participate in an anti-logging campaign.
In an effort to safeguard the enviroment, Alaskan shipping regulations require non-tanker vessels to file an oil spill response plan application five days before entering state waters. Greenpeace had not.
The court found Greenpeace and the Artic Sunrise's Captain, Arne Sorensen, guilty of multiple counts of misdemeanor criminal negligence. Criminal negligence carries a maximum $200,000 fine for an organization, and a year in prison and a $10,000 fine for an individual.

Thanks Michelle...

New Campgain Flower

Here's something I had to post. Yesterday's CNEWS photo of the day was of "Alice the Amorphophallus," which is supposed to be the largest and stinkiest flower in the world. It's particularily appropriate for the current Liberal Party Pre-election campgain.

In the pic, Jennifer Drozd, conservatory manager at the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, looks at "Mr. Stinky," the world's largest and stinkiest flower at the garden center in Coral Gables, Fla. Fondly nicknamed "Alice the Amorphophallus", the plant will make history with her third bloom since being planted in 1993. Garden officials hope the plant will flower some time between May 12-17 and be open during the party celebrating its stink. (AP Photo/J. Pat Carter)

There might not be enough room on Paul Martin's lapel, but will probably fit in his pockets.

At tonight's nomination meeting my choice for CPC candidate, Jim Rollison, had the following story to tell:

" A dying Ottawa priest was on his deathbed, and he made a final request. He asked as his final wish, to have the last two Canadian Liberal Prime Ministers, Paul Martin and Jean Chretien, come to his bedside.
Informed of this request, both Martin and Chretien hastened to the cleric's hospital room.
"Father, we are both honored that you asked for us." said the politicians. "How can we be of service?"
And the priest whispered, "Hold my hands." They did.
"I have tried to be like Christ in all parts of my life," said the dying priest, "and I need you both to stay right where you are, until I pass... for Jesus died between two thieves."

Egg on zee Prime Minister's face?

CAMPGAIN: pre-election campaigning by the governing party at the expense of the taxpayer

The tax-payer funded Liberal pre-election campgain continues. But what is this? Egg on zee Prime Minister's face? zut alors!

After running all over the country these last 2 weeks, announcing pre-election spending plans for billions of dollars the government said it didn't have last month, Paul Martin was finally jerked up short. On Thursday he and hockey has-been Ken Dryden were forced to cancel a planned trip to New Brunswick to announce yet another Federally financed child care deal.

But New Brunswick Premier Bernard Lord says there is no such deal. Yet. The Liberals have promised a 100 million dollars for New Brunswick, and Lord says he'd be happy to accept it once a deal is in place. But since a deal hasn't yet been reached, what is there to sign? A liberal photo op? Take off eh! Go campgain somewhere else!

Hats off to Bernard Lord. Oh, that's right. He's a conservative.

Quick! Change the Subject!!

It's time for an election. Now. Yet Canada's Liberal apologists are still frantically trying to divert the public's attention away from Tuesday's non-confidence vote. Again.

One example: personality Chuck Adler on the Corus radio Network's western Canadian midday talk show spent most of his afternoon loudly proclaiming his outrage that Conservative leader Stephen Harper accused the Prime Minister of wanting two cancer-stricken conservative MPs to die. But the public wasn't buying it. Adler was slapped in the face by caller after caller who told him he was out of touch, missing the boat, and a liberal spin-doctor.

Adler's response was to accuse his callers of being poorly informed. That's usually what liberals do when cornered. Accuse their opponent's of being stupid or not having all the facts.

Way to go, Chuck. You're erudite as hell, and like all liberals, think if we unwashed masses were as knowlegable as you, we'd think the same way too.

Yesterday's Liberal Sta- I mean, Toronto Star claimed Harper had sunk to a new low, and was guilty of 'shabby' behavior. The Globe and Mail contrived to tell us that this was like when, during the last election, "Conservatives accused the Prime minister of supporting Child Pornography." The CTV mentioned the vote, and devoted an entire story to how despicable the Conservatives were and how they sunk to a new low.

It's time for an election, now. Yet they're all either missing the issue, or trying to create new ones. Why haven't the MSM outlets noticed that the Prime Minister lied when he claimed that a vote on a motion is a non-confidence vote only if the Government says it is? Canadian Parliamentary procedure also allows for non-confidence motions if the motion itself states that it is a non-confidence motion. Why are they letting themselves be conned into giving the Liberals a free ride around the daily revelations from the Gomry inquiry?

I'm also getting sick of Liberal accusations that the Conservatives are cheating Canadians by demanding an untimely election, and preventing the Governing Liberals from doing their jobs. Yet the Liberals didn't seem to care about such twaddle back in 1979 when they quickly voted to defeat the short-lived Conservative minority government.

Conservative MPs Dave Chatters and Darrel Stinson don't know if they can be in the House later in the month for the Paul Martin scheduled budget vote. Stinson has an operation coming up, and Chatters, whose cancer is terminal, is in Ottawa against the advice of his oncologist. I think it's perfectly fair to wonder if Paul Martin and his Liberals are hoping to make delays work to their own favor.

Earlier in this post, I said: Again. The last election campaign should have been about the screwing Canadians got from two-terms of corrupt Liberal governance. Instead the media dwelled on false accusations that the Tories would dismantle health care and the social safety net. Talk about clueless.... or willing accomplices.

Update: March 22, 2012,
Funny how your perception of people change the longer you know them.  I was pretty hard on Charles Adler here and in other posts from this time-period, but either he's gotten smarter since then or I've gotten broader-minded, but I've come to appreciate Adler's efforts more and more of late. (self-depreciating chuckle)

Milk Opponent's secret Agenda

Have you heard that Milk is good for baby calves, but bad for your kids? That children don't actually need extra calcium? A March 2005 study in "Pediatrics" claims that there is little evidence that children benefit from increased consumption of milk or dairy products.

It's a very impressive looking document. But according to John Luik, of Western Standard Magazine, the report's authors are closely associated with PETA and other like-minded activist groups. One co-author, Dr. Neal Barnard, is president of the PETA foundation. ...and no, according to Luik, he's not an MD, he's a non-practising psychiatrist, and pro-vegan activist.

Mothers, don't stop giving milk and cheese to your kids yet. The Western Standard article, "GOT FACTS?" isn't available online yet, it's in the current May 30th 2005 issue.

PETA kills animals.

More PETA hypocrisy. Turns out PETA, which raises over 29 million dollars per year, can't be bothered to take care of the animals they 'rescue.'

They KILL them. Over 80% of the animals they've received are put to death. Seems they have other priorities for the millions they raise.

Thanks to Roger, at Curmudgeonly & Skeptical.

We're having BBQ steak tonight. Hey by the way, Vegetarian is an old indian word for Lousy Hunter.

Canadian Media ignores Scientific Report

LGF posts:
"Here’s a very interesting story at Canada Free Press about a large group of Canadian scientists who have made a documentary speaking out against the Kyoto Protocol—only to find that Canadian television refuses to broadcast it: Kyoto Protocol—Propaganda or Censorship?"

The documentary is available online for download at: Friends of Science. I wasn't able to get it all, but you may. Give it a shot.

That the Canadian media has adopted as truth the politically correct but unsubstantiated
theory of global warming is no surprise. That the bastards won't allow scientists a platform to tell the truth is, sadly, no surprise either.

*UPDATE*
I've seen the documentary now, and it makes a compelling case against the politically expedient misuse of Science to sell the public on the Global Warming hoax. This is definitely worth your time to watch.

Early Man - Girly Man

Ironcross at the Brutality of reason has a great theory about the development of early society and evolution of it's liberal elements. I laughed my ass off. Here's a bit:
"Division of the human family into two distinct groups began some 12,000 years ago..." "Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what became known as the "Conservative Movement". Other men, who were weaker and less skilled at hunting, learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQ's and doing the sewing, fetching and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the "Liberal Movement"."

"No greater indictment of Socialism"

Varifrank had some very interesting comments regarding something he saw in my Hometown paper, the Edmonton Journal: "To me there is no greater indictment of socialism than what it has done to a great country like Canada." He was commenting on a recent article that starts:
"CALGARY - Many Albertans are fed up with Ontarians and other Canadians who continue to elect "criminal" Liberals, and some are near their breaking point, a senior Conservative MP said Friday."

stupid thief story

Gregory Alston might be the stupidest car thief in the world. Tuesday he telephoned Police in Baltimore to report the car he jacked last week had been stolen from in front of his apartment. The officer assigned to the case asked him to come in and file a report; which he did.
Turns out the Nissan Maxima's real owner had spotted the car on the street, and police had towed it in. Alston has been charged with car theft and a handgun felony.

The Greatest Political Secret

Horde leader George Hill, aka the Mad Ogre, says he's learned the key secret of the masters for getting elected. A sense of humor?

"Okay, since I've not posted in awhile, I'll give you a secret. I have the secret for all success, and political success as well. Hear me out here... Let's look at some people... Ronald Reagan. 2 terms in office. Arnold Schwarzenegger, took Cali by a landslide. Clint Eastwood, Carmel, California Mayor. OJ, acquitted. Reagan did some comedies with a monkey, Arnold did Kindergarten Cop. Eastwood did some monkey comedies too... OJ, he did some Naked Gun comedies. That guy that played Beretta and shot his wife? No comedies that I know of... guilty. Donald Trump? He even makes fun of himself... millions. Gore? Not a funny bone in his body... Lost. Kerry... Same thing, lost. Bush, Bush is funny. Just look at him. Not famously so, but more than those he beat. What do chicks dig? Guys that can make them laugh. I'm telling you, that's the key right there. Be Funny. Not like a clown, but just enough to keep people smiling around you. That's the secret right there"

I enjoy the Mad Ogre's insight and sense of humor pretty well all the time, and I think he may have smoked out a universal truth or something. Ol' Fuddle Duddle did well enough at the polls up here too.

LIBERAL Polls - update #2

Earlier I posted the results of this informal poll on canoe, and made a snarky remark about the Liberal-Party-sympathetic media like the CBC and their tame pollsters.

Holy Burger King Batman! It turns out the Liberals can get their polls made-to-order. CTV and the Globe and Mail recently aired a news story about how a GPC poll shows that Canadians don't want an election just now.
But Micheal at the Blue Maple Leaf is running a thread about the polling firm GPC, and how bloggers have tracked down the facts about the liberals running this firm. A history of faulty data, boycotted results, and party croneys on the board.

Lamo bloggo

Lame Blog of the MOnth award goes to:

http://aardvarkcards.blogspot.com/

I was browsing weblogs, sampling what's out there when I hit this site.

Now, I'm not saying the blog stinks, or their ideas stink. I think if someone wants a blog about greeting cards, they should be able to have one, but that's not what this is.
What stinks is aardvarkcards is a commercial enterprise using the blogosphere for blog spam. What an idea! Too cheap to pay for advertising? Take advantage of the blogosphere! Keep it up assholes, and you'll ruin it for the rest of us.

Update: Would you bring down the Government?

CNS let the poll run all weekend. The CBC and the Liberals keep telling us that Canadians don't want an election right now, but they're obviously full of shit.
